It’s a been a long while since I posted on anything prize related but this particular prize is one I’m especially fond of. I’ve also read a few of them and have others on my shelf, so I thought I’d do a quick blast about it. Please excuse the screenshots, I’m time poor this week.

You can read reviews here on the blog of the following:
The Winter Dress by Lauren Chater
The Good Wife of Bath by Karen Brooks
I enjoyed all of these.
I have on my shelf, ready to go:
Horse by Geraldine Brooks
Goodnight, Vivienne, Goodnight by Steven Carroll
Corporal Hitler’s Pistol by Tom Keneally
That leaves The Sawdust House and Only Birds Above, so I’m going to make it my mission to read the remainder of the longlist. I’m pretty much halfway through, anyway.
Thoughts on the longlist? Have you read any of these? What did you think?
Haven’t read any of these yet. I do have a couple on my TBR though. I’ll have to get to them sooner now.

Yes! Nothing like a prize list to spur one on!

And the fear of missing out. Ha.

I really liked Only Birds Above, and Cold Coast, and I would struggle to choose between them. (I would be a terrible judge!)
I recommended Cold Coast to Karen at Booker Talks for her Wanderlust Reading Bingo… she needed a book set in polar regions!
I found the Keneally interesting, but it’s not one of his best.

I’d be a fence-sitting sort of judge, lol.

I’ve only read one from the longlist and loved The Winter Dress by Lauren Chater.
