I must admit that I didn’t love Crawdads as a book but at the time of reading, thought it would make a good movie. Will probably see it.

It visually stunning. For that alone you will likely enjoy it.

Oh! Telltale! I loved it!

I think I’m the wrong generation for it. I couldn’t appreciate her intent and the books she was referencing were not familiar to me. Plus, it really was the definition of a self indulgent memoir, which is my pet peeve.

I think I know what you mean. All those books referencing 80s music and US TV shows etc? Uh… no… not for me. The 80s felt like a cultural wasteland at the time, and so those books just don’t interest me at all.

Whereas, I like them! Thinking particularly of Mayflies here!

I enjoyed and learned so much from Elektra.

I’m finding it so much more of a stronger novel than Ariadne was. She’s definitely going from strength to strength as a writer.

I agree. I liked Ariadne but the second book is more complex. Wonder what she will do next!

She’s popped a preview of her next one up on Instagram this last week! Looks amazing and another glorious cover as well.

What will it be called? Thanks for this.

Atalanta. It doesn’t say too much, just that it’s about a bold heroine of Greek mythology.

Can’t wait to see Crawdad’s the movie. I am intrigued that you DNF Telltale too. It must be bad.

Not even bad, just…nothing. Utterly boring and pointless.

Sometimes you’ve just got to call it and move on to something better.
