Books read in June: 9

Not as many as I would have liked, I’m still aiming to get back to 12 per month, but they were good reads, so that’s something.
Until next month… 😊☕📚

June was 5 books for me- Percy Jackson and the Olympians
In the middle of two more mythology books now, but will both go into July

I have never read Percy Jackson novels.
I’m becoming a bit more interested in greek mythology and the normans though.

My daughter has been a keen Percy Jackson fan and I’ve read some of the books and loved them. Very funny but written from a teenage boy’s POV. Characters start out at age 12, so does depend on whether you like children’s/adolescent fiction but I found them a great laugh.

I don’t tend to read children’s or YA books. I think my eldest son may have read them and enjoyed them though.

If I’ve read any children or YA, its mostly because my daughter has read it and loved it, and so it gives us something to talk about. I probably did it more when she was younger so I could keep a check on what she was reading. But from time to time I will read YA, if it’s a good story.

Yes, I probably read it more when my children were younger, for that same reason.

One day I’d liked to read Harry Potter again for that reason.
