Well there you go! I knew it had been a month where the books were few and far between, but goodness, this is the lowest amount of books I’ve read in a month in years! Two of these were read in the last week of the month, the other two in the first week.
Onwards and upwards!
Until next month… 😊📚☕
Such a lot of us seem to be struggling at the moment with reading. Odd, isn’t it? You’d think it would be our best escape from the New Normal. In fact I am slowly picking up speed again, but I’ve some way to go.

I think I’ll see a gradual increase from here on in, but yes, it’s like it’s been too distracting at times to just switch off. Such a strange year, that way. Of late though, the main offender for me has just been exhaustion. There was just so much else that needed doing and I was going until I dropped.

Oh dear. May next year be easier for you then. My own exhaustion is caused by my inability to sleep. I think everyone’s had a bad year.

Thanks Margaret. I hope you can find some relief soon for not being able to sleep. That’s dreadful!

My reading fell this month too – I have been reading an average of 20 books a month but only read 14 or 15 in November.

I never read as many as 14 or 15. Still good going!

Thank you! It is often more because I might have 4-6 for quiz writing and hopefully that picks up again next year. I am aiming to get through all my committed books by the end of the year, with the 2021 reviews ready to email on the day.

Yes. I have holidays coming up too, three weeks over Christmas and New Year.

My November was exactly the same!

It’s relieving to hear of other people having a slower pace. Solidarity, and all that!

It’s that time of year I think.

Moving will do that Theresa – it’s such an unsettling time. I also think it takes a while to find that cosy spot to sit down and have a good read in, when setting up a new home. Any time you try, out of the corner of your eye, you spy another box still to unpack. Or you realise the chair is in completely the wrong spot to catch the best light, which leads to the third rearrange of the loungeroom furniture….
I’m amazed you managed 4 books!

Oh my goodness, you’ve just described my daily life at the moment! Exactly those things, each time I sit down. 😂

I’ve been in and out of a reading slump since July, and all my reading this month has been work related, so probably doesn’t count. I hope December is an easier month for you.
