We have a local public holiday today, show day, just minus the show. I can’t say I’m all that cut up about the no show part.
My youngest son is a bit filthy about it though! There’s always next year…maybe!

What I’ve been watching:
Not much! More reading this week and the most I’ve watched is the latest episode of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels – a new episode is made available every Sunday. It’s all coming together in a clever way, which makes the weekly episode things very annoying!

Until next week… 🙂📚☕
Is the show a huge event, Theresa? Is it one of those where the grey nomads and other people come from everywhere to see this event? Gosh, I love ferris wheels, the last two we hopped on was in Seattle and Brisbane, both are spectacular.
Josephine Moon’s book cover is absolutely gorgeous…love those two colours together. I bet the book is as good as it looks? Lol.

More locals and people from the smaller rural pockets out here attend. But we get a lot of people coming into town for it. It usually also has a PBR (professional bull riding) night which is very popular. It would make a lot of money for the town.
So far, the book is definitely living up to its cover!

So no scary grey nomads then LOL Once the world is back to normal hubby and I (grey nomads 😂) can’t wait to hit the road again with van in tow. QLD and especially far north QLD is our happy place but what I’m dying to see is inland QLD as the five times we’ve headed up north it’s always been the coast. We’d like to check out all the rural events held throughout the year as some of them sound intriguing. Mt Isa is on our list of places to see but if we happen to be there while the show is on I’d give the bull riding night a miss, always feel sorry for the bull and I get a bit queasy with all that violence – body being jerked every which way… 😄🙃😉

You should travel out west! Very different to the coast and you’ll be surprised perhaps by what you discover.
