For those following along at home, week 2 of adult ballet was a lot less painful than week 1! I’m considering that to be a good sign! π

Glad you arenβt as sore this time π I have The Salt Madonna but Iβm not going to be able to squeeze it in for another fortnight or so. As you know I thought The Darkest Shore was excellent

LMAO re: the diet book π And I totally feel the dog thing. One of my go-to cheer-ups is to think about dogs at the dog park: they are ALWAYS just SO DARN EXCITED. It’s just a park, nothing special, but they act like it’s the BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO THEM IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD to be there. I aspire to bring that kind of unabashed joy to my life π

I try to channel the enthusiasm my dogs express over anything whatsoever. Although I often feel I don’t quite measure up to the enthusiasm they offer. The reaction seems to outweigh the offering everytime. I’m like, mate, it’s just a measly chicken wing. Or, really? We just went as far as the wheelie bin. π
