It’s been a fortnight since my last week that was. I’ve finished work for the year, had my first week of holidays, am on track for Christmas preparations, and have saved over $800 on my annual insurance premiums by switching providers. There’s a Christmas bonus, right there!
My very crafty daughter’s contribution to Christmas:
Youngest son is all over the business of Elf duty:
Like I said, on track for Christmas! ๐๐

Book of the week:

What I’ve been watching:
Parks and Recreation – of course – currently in season 6.
I also watched Bridget Jones’s Diary with my daughter – first time for her – and my all time favourite Christmas movie, Love Actually.
My son and I enjoyed seeing this earlier in the week:

Joke of the week:

Summer is well and truly here in the outback:
Day after day…โ๏ธ
~~~~
I’ve begun contemplating what my top reads of the year are, but hit a wall when I remembered it’s the end of a decade…that’s a whole new list with a whole new level of pressure. Will continue to procrastinate on this activity…
What I’m reading right now:
~~~~
Until next week…๐๐โ
I am not even thinking about Books of the Year till after Christmas!

Ugh thatโs hot! Lucky the icing on the gingerbread house didnโt melt (which is so cute btw).

Oh, even in the aircon, it was melting. My daughter was all, ‘quick, take your photos, this has to go in the fridge!’ Which is where it has had to stay. But the melting gave her a great icicle effect! ๐

Hi Theresa, love the gingerbread house! It seems a shame to eat it though, after all that work. The joys of Christmas cooking in a hot climate. My daughter loves Christmas cooking too. I’m quite happy to leave the kitchen all to her. Have a Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas Karen! I know, it’s a catch 22 with ginger bread houses. They look to good to eat but otherwise they’re a waste.
