  3. I can’t wait to read ‘The Blue Rose’. Have just read ‘The Wild Girl’ and it was brilliant. I’ve just returned from Stratford-upon-Avon where I attended Kate’s workshops. She is an inspiration to any aspiring writer.

  7. I’m even more inspired to read Kate’s new novel after reading your beautiful review! To hear that The Blue Rose is your favourite since Bitter Greens – also my favourite, has me clapping my hands and counting down the days until its release! Kate Forsyth is at the top of my list when it comes to favourite historical fiction authors. I can’t wait to read it.

  10. I have obviously missed heaps of Kate Forsyth’s novels as the ones that I have read were the three books in The Star Thorn Tree trilogy which were fantasy. From your review and my subsequent research it seems I have a to catch up!

  11. I have obviously missed heaps of Kate Forsyth’s books because the only ones I have read were in the The StarThorn Tree trilogy which were fantasy for school aged young people. After reading your review and doing a little research it seems I have a lot to read to catch up on her historical fiction. The Blue Rose sounds like a good place to start.
